Chamika J. Pathirana is an experienced local leader, educated at Bishop’s College Colombo, with a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology/Biotechnology from Queen Mary University of London and an MSc in Medical Microbiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is contesting the 2025 Colombo Municipal Council election for Cinnamon Gardens Ward as a United National Party (UNP) candidate.
Chamika served as a Member of the Colombo Municipal Council from 2018 to 2023, chairing both the Health & Sanitation and Preschool & Vocational Training Standing Committees, and led several community programs, including key contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Her vision includes a cleaner, safer, and smarter Cinnamon Gardens through efficient waste management, safer roads, smart traffic design, flood control, tree management, dengue prevention, infrastructure upgrades, and vibrant community programs.
Chamika is a proud candidate of the United National Party (UNP), Sri Lanka’s oldest political party, symbolized by the elephant.

You must bring your National Identity Card (NIC) or a valid government-issued ID to vote.
