I was elected to the Colombo Municipal Council from Borella electorate in 2018 and served as a member until 2023. During my tenure, I had the privilege of serving as Chairperson of the Health and Sanitation Standing Committee, where I worked to improve community wellbeing. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I provided significant service to the Colombo Municipality area. I later took on the role of Chair of the Preschool and Vocational Training Standing Committee, focusing on early education and skills development.
I am married to Mr. Darshan Pathirana, a Royalist and former member of Colombo Municipal Council. He is the Organiser for Borella Electorate and Managing Director of Terminus Bakers and Caterers. Our daughter, Dinalie Pathirana, studies at Bishop’s College, Colombo.
Through educational knowledge, experience, and as a former Colombo Municipal Council member, I’ll always be there to provide dedicated service to the community.
I will work to enhance our infrastructure, preserve its charm, and serve our community effectively.
I promise to keep you informed, engaged, and empowered, ensuring that your concerns and wishes are heard and acted upon.
I will advocate for policies that preserve our area’s prosperity while meeting the needs of all residents.
